Built in 1935, the Grade II Embassy Court was the first post-war building in Brighton, this blue plaque building was designed by architect Wells Wintemute Coates who was a key figure in the British modernism movement.

At the time it was an extremely controversial piece of modernist architecture that divided opinion across the city.
